Description. Our Deserts lesson plan introduces students to deserts and their characteristics. During this lesson, students are asked to color in desert images, as well as shading in different deserts in different colors on a world map and answering questions about them based on the lesson material Lesson Materials. Use the slideshow, teacher resources, and student worksheets in this science mini-lesson to give students a general overview of the ecosystem of deserts. This mini-lesson can be taught as part of 1 or 2 45-minute class periods.
